Membership
The MSMA are equestrian, search & rescue and reserve units of men, women and youth from 13 counties, totaling 228 members.

It shall be the purpose of the Michigan Sheriff's Mounted Association, (MSMA) to offer assistance both directly and indirectly, to the Counties of Michigan's Sheriff Departments. MSMA strives to form a comparably trained Equine group that can operate together to help other counties when called upon for Civil Defense, disaster or any other assistance in law enforcement that may be requested of our equine organizations. Also to share knowlege for training our equine groups that our departments require.
